MoCCA09 Finds
While I’m shooting some emails out to a few peeps, I thought I’d mention a few of the MoCCA minis that have been FLOORING me.
(Just like I was FLOORED by the tiffins!)
And I’m completely serious. The amount of talent that is out there is mind-blowing. If only I had some “turtle-money”.
Anyways, check out Connor Willumsen. THE MIDDLE was freakin’ fantastic.
I can’t remember if I have mentioned Jon Chad before or not. Maybe? Anyway, his Bobo comic is SUPERB. And Bikeman™ rulez.
Mike Shea. Wow. Furlough is a complete and instant classic. He’s an A+ ink-slinger, too!
I’ve known Matt Rota for what seems like ages. Well, he’s made some big strides since I last saw his work. Check out Monkey Island.
Matt’s friend Victor Kerlow thew a comic/illustrated goodie my way, and if he and Matt can keep on pressing each other forward, well, watch out.
And last, but not least, for now, is WORKER BE by John Balash. I keep seeing those two animated headbangers while reading it, but really, it works. I can’t really find a site for John’s stuff. Oh well. (John, send me a link, and I’ll edit to include!)
Anyway.. that’s it for now. Heroes in a few days! Can’t freakin’ wait!
